The history of World5 World5 was originally founded back in beta 1.4 by Anokka. Back then, the server was hosted on Anokkas old laptop, and we could only play together locally. At 1.7 beta, World5 moved to a hosting node in Amsterdam. Soon the number of players and our community grew exponentially. At our peak, World5 had over 1000 registered players, all fighting for a spot on the small 50 slot server. You may remember names such as pieish, Fzizzle, theanonamous, XxEagleEye19xX, and HardstylerzDK. These are all people who helped make World5 so great in the past. The World5 dream Our core values back then, were very simple. Flight, simple rules, and fun. No strict rules, we promoted creative minds, and mostly of all, we wanted all people to have the best possibly experience. Sadly, with a lot of players comes a few, but deadly, haters. After a series of massive hacker attacks in 1.2.5, we had to close down World5. Since then, we have tried to reboot our community in many ways. We have been around bungee servers, factions, minigames, modpacks, but this was never our call, and at the end, we had to turn the key for good in October of 2014. The resurgence Now, 5 years later, something is happening. We couldn’t let World5 fade away. We are redoing World5 from the bottom up. This time we are going back to basics. Back to our fun survival server, with flight enabled, of course. We want to let people express their creative side and have a blast with their friends playing survival. Our focus is on giving people the best experience possible. By training brilliant helpers, and thoroughly testing plugins, we are able to give core Minecraft players an amazing experience on World5.
